Pest Control Hills District
Now the kids are back at school it’s time to start getting organised around the house. We all want our homes to be beautifully clean and organised, however when the house has got out of control it’s hard to work out where to start, how to organise the space and mostly our own mindset hinders us with fear that it’s just too big a job or what’s the point the kids will mess it up again.
Having an organised home will help you wake in a good mood, you will be less stressful as you know where things are when looking for them and you will feel a sense of calm.
Can you imagine waking in the morning and the house is chaos free, walking out the door without yelling at the kids, easily locating the bills due for the week and not running around tired at the end of the day wondering what to cook for dinner. It is possible!!
Below I have shared my 7 easy steps to getting organised around the house
1. To-do lists
Having a to-do list is an essential key to being organised. Without a to-do list it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the amount of things you have to do. Writing down your tasks on a list will help you prioritise, focus your attention and help you remember what you need to do. There is also a good sense of accomplishment when you tick a task off the to-do list, giving you back control which then gives you enthusiasm to keep going.
2. Create Routines

A routine is much like a daily to-do list, listing all the task you need to accomplish on a daily basis. Having a routine may be repetitive, but it will make your home life easier and family happier in the end.
3. Create new habits
There are little tasks that need to be completed each day, make the bed, putting clean dishes away etc. However sometimes these tasks can easily be neglected as time gets in the way.
Create little habits for yourself to ensure these tasks are completed each day. ie. Make your bed after your shower each morning, unpack the dishwasher while you are waiting for the kettle to boil.
We Service the following areas in the Hills District:
4. Declutter
It’s easy to accumulate clutter, be it a shopping habit, sentimental items, your partners collection etc. so much stuff around you each day can easily make you feel overwhelmed and defeated with the idea that it’s possible to get the home tidy and organised.
Sorting through your clutter has its benefits: less to clean, less to organise, less stress for you. Depending how much clutter you have start in the area you want decluttered the most, either a corner of a room or a whole room, start sorting through your clutter, organise into: rubbish, keep or donate piles to help with the process.
5. Create Zones
If you’re having trouble keeping your home tidy, consider creating zones for specific groups of items or particular activities. Zones can be created easily within current storage solutions or by simply adding hooks to walls.

This is one of the best ways to create organisation in your home.
6. Don’t let the needs of others control you
It’s easy to delay what you really want to do for yourself (in this case to organise your home) because friends and family need your help. Take time out for yourself to get your home and own mindset sorted, if they are good friends and loving family members they will understand.
7. Do it now
Just like that, make a start now, when you have an item in your hand next, instead of putting it on the bench to put away later, put it away now. Saving you time and keeping the bench clutter free.
